There are two ways to add files within Imaging:
- Use the Upload button to upload a file
- Drag and drop a file into your desired location
We'll look at each of these below.
Use the Upload button to upload a file
Regardless of whether you are at the top level of your Imaging account or several layers deep inside a folder, you should always see two buttons toward the top of the page, "Upload" and "Create folder":
So, wherever you see this Upload button, when you click it and select your file for upload, you will be uploading to that level within your folder structure in Redtail Imaging.
Let's run through uploading a file.
First, make sure that you are currently at the level within your Imaging account that you would like the file to reside. Then:
- click the Upload button
- click File
- browse for the file that you would like to upload, select it, and click Open
- your upload will begin automatically
In this example, you are clicking the Upload button from within your Crane, Melissa > Client Files > Taxes folder. So, whatever you upload will land at the top level of that folder for your client Melissa Crane.
Dragging and dropping a file into your desired location
First, make sure that you are currently at the level within your Imaging account that you would like the file to reside. In the case below, you are in a subfolder of Goodman, John > Client Files > Variable Annuities.
To drag and drop, just select the file from File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac) and drag and drop it into your Imaging area as in the below example. Your upload will begin automatically at that point:
