Redtail Webmail affords users the ability to share mailbox folders, contact folders, calendars and tasks with other users. When you delegate access with internal users or groups, you choose the type of access you wish to grant.
The delegation of access is a simple process that we will explore below. This post will focus on the sharing of a Calendar.
First off, you will want to log into Redtail Webmail. If you need assistance with accessing webmail, click here.
Once you are logged into your webmail account, you will want to select the Calendar tab to view your calendars:
Next, locate the calendar you wish to share within your Calendar hierarchy pane to the left and right-click on the folder. In the right-click menu, you will select Share:
You'll then see the below:
Check off Invite users by email and then click "Save". You'll then see your share options:
Choose the appropriate permission from Anyone with the link can drop-down. Your options are:
Users can view all appointments, except the private ones.
- View free/busy times only
Users can only view when your calendar is free or busy. They cannot see the appointment details.
- View (including private events)
Users can view all appointments, including private ones.
- View and edit
Users can view and edit all appointments, except private ones.
- View, edit, add and remove
Users can view and edit all appointments, except private ones. They can also add and delete events (except private events) from your calendar.
- View, edit, add and remove (including private events)
Users can view and edit all appointments, including private ones. They can also add and remove events (including private events) from your calendar.
After selecting the appropriate permission level, type in the email address of people with whom you want to share this calendar. Then, click "Save".
