Setting up the integration:
If you use TD Ameritrade's Veo One platform, you can establish the integration with Redtail in the following manner.
From within your VeoOne platform, click the Applications icon in the top right corner and select "Vendor management":
On the resulting page, click the Launch button next to Redtail:
Then, enter your Redtail credentials and click Log on:
For components of the Veo One integration on the Veo side, please see this post.
New Account Wizard
You can now access Veo One's New Account Wizard quickly and easily from within Redtail. When within a contact record in Redtail, select TD Ameritrade Institutional from Redtail's Integrations menu. You'll then see the below:
Click "New Account Wizard". You'll then be presented with a choice of the type account you want to open for the client:
After making your selections here, you can proceed to the next screen, where much of the client's data from Redtail will pre-populate the form for you, eliminating redundant data entry and making the account opening process quicker and smoother:
Fields that are sent from Redtail to pre-populate forms are:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Home Address
- Primary Phone #
You can also now access TDA Announcements from the same TDA Integrations screen within Redtail. If you click "Announcements" rather than "New Account Wizard" you would see the below:
In the above example, I've clicked "Education and Training" after clicking "Announcements" - that displays a link to TDA's Web Training Schedule. Were you to click that, you'd see names, dates and registration links for all of their upcoming web trainings.
You can similarly expand their "Latest Announcements" and "Spotlight" for TDA links in those categories.
