Once you have bi-directional contact updates enabled, you will have the ability to update specific client demographic information in either platform, and the data will sync directly into the other (in real time). Additionally, you can create contact records in either system and have them added to the other.
The following fields are enabled for bi-directional:
- First name
- Middle name
- Last name
- Business name (Entity name in ClientWorks)
- Email address
- Home/Residence address
- Mailing address
- Work/Employer address
- Home phone number
- Mobile phone number
- Work/Business phone number
- Date of Birth
- Marital status
How to send contacts from Redtail to ClientWorks
Within a contact record in Redtail, hover over your Integration menu in the upper right corner:
In the resulting dropdown menu, you’ll see an LPL option at the very top of your list of Redtail integration partners - click that option:
You’ll then see the option to "Send to LPL":
Before you can send the contact to ClientWorks, you will need to select Rep Id and Client Type:
Sending contacts from Redtail to ClientWorks is done on a contact by contact basis. This allows you full control of what contacts you want to send to ClientWorks. ClientWorks does not have a Send to Redtail option, meaning any contacts created in ClientWorks will automatically be created in Redtail.
For users who already have the 1-way integration setup and are interested in signing up for bi-directional access, please navigate to the ClientWorks Resource Center to complete a mandatory access form. It's accessible within ClientWorks by following these steps:
- Click MENU in the top right-hand corner
- Choose "Resource Center"
- Search for "Redtail Enhancement"
- Select the dropdown labeled "Redtail-ClientWorks Enhanced Integration"
- Click the link "Redtail-ClientWorks enhanced integration form" at the bottom of the page.
- Complete and submit the form to enable bi-directional contact updates between Redtail and ClientWorks
