Change Site Preferences: Calendar Management

You can access and modify your Site Preferences from the menu available underneath your Name in the upper right corner:

After clicking Preferences, the Preferences which you can manage are divided into several categories.  

Here we'll take a look at Calendar Management

Activity Management preferences all apply to working with your main Calendar in Redtail. Your options here are:

  • You can set your Default Calendar View to Day, Week or Month.
  • You can set your Default Calendar Start of Week to the day of your choice.
  • You can set your Default Calendar Start and End Times to your desired times.
  • You can set your Default Calendar Time Slots to 15, 30 or 60 minute slots.
  • Default to Show Completed Activities can be set to Yes or No. If set to Yes, Completed Activities will still show up on your main Calendar. If you set this to No, they will not. You can temporarily override either setting from the Calendar page itself by clicking on Show Completed or Hide Completed from the Actions menu.
  • Default to Show All Day Activities can be set to Yes or No. If set to Yes, All Day Activities will show up on your main Calendar by default. If you set this to No, they will not. You can temporarily override either setting from your Calendar's Actions menu.
  • Default to Show Weekends can be set to Yes or No. If set to Yes, the Calendar will display Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Default to Show Holidays can be set to Yes or No. If you set this to Yes, Holidays will show up on your Calendar by default.
  • Default to Show Client Reviews can be set to Yes or No. If you set this to Yes, Client Review dates will show up on your Calendar by default.
  • Default to Show Client Birthdays can be set to Yes or No. If you set this to Yes, Client Birthdays will show up on your Calendar by default, if Birthday Reminders are enabled on their contact record.
  • Default to Show Client Marital Anniversaries can be set to Yes or No. If you set this to Yes, Client Marital Anniversary dates will show up on your Calendar by default.
  • Default to Show Seminars can be set to Yes or No. If you set this to Yes, Seminar Dates will show up on your Calendar by default.
  • Default to Show Workflow Tasks can be set to Yes or No. If you set this to Yes, Workflow Tasks will show up on your Calendar by default.

After making any changes to these options, click Save Preferences in the upper right corner of the Activity Management widget and your preferences will be saved.
