ClientWorks Changes FAQ

Q: Does this change mean that bi-directional integration is available?

A: No. This change only affects existing one-way integrations. Bi-directional integration is not yet available but coming soon.

Q: Will ClientWorks data replace my Redtail data?

A: For addresses, emails, and phone numbers, if there is an exact match between ClientWorks and Redtail, the records are "in sync", so any updates from ClientWorks will update the corresponding information in Redtail. If there is not an exact match between ClientWorks and Redtail, the ClientWorks data will be added to Redtail, and the existing Redtail information will be preserved.

All other fields that contain information in Redtail will also be preserved. If an integrated field is blank in Redtail, but contains data in ClientWorks, the ClientWorks data will be imported into the blank field in Redtail.

Q: What fields will be populated from ClientWorks if they're blank in Redtail?

A: 

  • first name
  • last name
  • middle name
  • entity name/ business name
  • client since date
  • job title/occupation
  • birthdate
  • taxid/ssn
  • gender
  • marital status

Q: Does this include my information being updated in ClientWorks if I make an update to RT?

A: No, this would be a feature of the Bi-Directional integration. Bi-directional integration is not yet available but coming soon.

Q: Will updates occur real time or tomorrow?

A: The update will occur on a nightly basis, with the live update coming soon.

Q: If I have a field that is blank today in Redtail will it remain blank tomorrow?

A: If ClientWorks also does NOT have that field, yes it will remain unpopulated. If ClientWorks DOES possess this data, Redtail will be automatically updated.

Q: How will I tell what differences exist between Redtail and ClientWorks?

A: Any Clientworks data will still populate the LPL link page. Simply by navigating to that page, discrepancies can be isolated and updated within Clientworks.
