How to enable journaling emails to Redtail if Google G Suite is your host.

The standard journaling available to Google G Suite Enterprise users envelopes messages such that the headers are changed to show the emails coming from a noreply@ address from the domain hosted at Google to the email archive journaling address Redtail provides during the setup of your (the customer's) archive services. This prevents the messages from being displayed in the CRM under the correct contact records. Using the following steps, G Suite users can set it up so that mail is still copied to Redtail and stored in the archive with the original headers readable by the archive service.

INBOUND EMAIL: (Email sent to your Google G Suite hosted email)

1. Sign into Google G Suite Admin
2. Click on the three horizontal lines in the upper left-hand corner next to Google Admin
3. Click on Apps, G Suite
4. Click on Gmail
5. Click on Advanced Settings; you are now on the General Settings Tab
6. Scroll down to the Routing section and find Third-party archiving - if this is enabled, disable Third-party archiving
7. Find Routing Locally applied and click Edit
8. In Edit Settings input the name: Inbound Email Routing To Redtail

• Messages to affect: check the boxes for Inbound and Internal - receiving
• For the above types of messages, check the box Also deliver to Add more recipients
• Add Recipients: Deliver to: emailarchive@.... (this is the email archive address for Redtail)
• In the drop down list choose Advanced > Envelope Recipient > check the box Change envelope recipient and select Replace recipient: emailarchive@... (this is the email archive address for Redtail)
• Spam and delivery options: check the box Do not deliver spam to this recipient (only if you are sure and comfortable with blocking spam from forwarding to Redtail - note spam may catch wanted emails)

9. Save the Advanced Settings box, Save the Routing box, Save again at the bottom of your screen.
