Shared calendars currently do not sync over when a user has their Redtail-hosted email setup on their iOS device as an ActiveSync account. In order to access your shared calendars, you will want to take the following steps:
Log in to Redtail Webmail. If you need assistance, you can locate instructions here.
Once logged in to Redtail Webmail, select the Preferences tab followed by the Calendar option within the navigation pane on the left. The Calendar options will appear on the right. Scroll down to the Apple iCal section.
Check off the Enable delegation for Apple iCal CalDAV client option.
Select in the upper-left to preserve this change.
Next, you will need to add a CalDAV account on your iOS device. To do this, we have outlined the necessary steps below:
Go to Settings
Under Settings, select Mail, Contacts, Calendar
Select to Add Account
Select Other as the Account type
Select Add CalDAV Account under Calendars section
Next, you will add the CalDAV account settings:
Server: mapi.redtailtechnology.com
Username: your full Redtail-hosted email address
Password: your email password
Description: Auto-populates with server name. You can change this to something of your choosing.
After entering the account settings, Select Next to add the account.
After adding the CalDAV account, it will appear as an account under Mail,Contacts, Calendar within Settings.
To view the shared calendars, go to the native Calendar app
Within the Calendar app, select Calendars at the bottom. This will display your calendars including those shared with you.
