On Friday, July 10, 2015, Redtail's Hosted Email Services will be undergoing maintenance. The scheduled maintenance window will be used to upgrade Redtail's email platform. We anticipate your mailbox will be inaccessible for a few hours between 10:00pm PDT Friday and 4:00am PDT Saturday, July 11th. During this service window, you will not be able to access your Redtail-hosted mailbox, check your messages or send messages. We understand that this may pose an inconvenience to some subscribers, but please rest assured that the receipt of all outside mail will continue uninterrupted. We schedule these types of maintenance windows for late at night, as this is historically a low volume business email period. Once your mailbox is available, all messages received during scheduled maintenance will be present within your mailbox.

Upon completion of the maintenance, Redtail's Hosted Email Services will now be powered by Zimbra 8 (Zimbra Collaboration Suite, version 8.0.9). We are excited about the many new enhancements that improve and maximize the user experience. Below are some highlights of the enhancements that are on the horizon:
New User Interface - The Redtail Webmail interface has been completely redesigned for simplicity and streamlined so common actions are easier to access. It is intuitive, sleek, and beautiful.

Search Easier - Searches now open in their own tab allowing you to continue working across all features without losing your query. Save the search for future use or close the tab at your convenience. The new layout provides easy-to-customize filters and brings a welcome level of usability to your searches.

Enhanced Calendaring - Greatly enhanced, the Redtail Webmail calendar smart views look and feel more like the Outlook experience many new users expect. This sophisticated calendar allows you to see and manage multiple calendars, view availability status and scheduling suggestions for attendees and resources when setting complex meetings.

Improved Outlook Performance - Not all of the enhancements are related to Redtail Webmail; the Zimbra Connector for Outlook (ZCO) provides an even faster two-way sync of mail, contacts, tasks and calendar between Outlook and your Redtail-hosted email.

Activity Stream - This all new feature allows users extensive control over the messages that go to their Inbox. Activity Stream is intended for low priority mail that the user will get to at a later time. Users can easily set up activity stream filters that direct incoming messages to various folders based on different criteria that they can specify. For example, emails to distribution lists, feeds and notifications that are not directly addressed to the user can be archived in folders that can be read when convenient.
