When adding an activity to Redtail CRM or when editing an existing activity, one of the fields available is Activity Type. By default, there are several Activity Types from which you can choose. If you would like to designate an Activity Type not available from those default Types, however, you have the ability to add new Activity Types.
To do so, first go to Manage Your Account:
Then, select Manage Database Lists:
The body of the Manage Database Lists page is controlled by which List you have selected in the Manage Lists column on the right:
After you've clicked Activity Types, your page will display this list:
Note that some of these are Application Default Activity Types and cannot be edited or removed. Those that can be edited or deleted have a menu from which to do so in their Actions column.
You can add new Activity Types by clicking the add button in the top right corner. You'll then see the below modal:
Just type in the name for your new Activity Type and click Add Activity Type.
Those Activity Types that have been manually added to your database have both Edit and Delete options available from their Actions menu, meaning you can edit their name or delete them entirely.
After adding your Activity Type, it will then be available in the Activity Type menu when adding or editing an Activity.
Note: when running any of the below Activity Reports, you have an option to filter by Activity Type, so there is a method to search by Activity Types:
