Setting up the integration:
No setup is required to use the Fact Sheet component of this integration. If you are a paying customer of AdvisoryWorld, there are additional integration options (SCANalytics, Acquire and Advisor Proposal Generator) we'll discuss after we look at generating a Fact Sheet for an account.
If you are a subscriber to Redtail CRM, we have partnered with AdvisoryWorld to provide you with a quick and free way to generate Fact Sheets for your accounts from AdvisoryWorld from within your CRM. Before setting up this integration, one of your database admins will need to enable it within your CRM. Instructions for doing so can be found here.
To generate a Fact Sheet for one of your client's accounts, just go to their Accounts page.
Clicking the Actions menu for an account on this page will provide you with the options to Edit, Move, Delete or View Account or Feed Details, as well as access to generate a complementary Advisory World Fact Sheet for the account:
After clicking Generate Fact Sheet, you can then open the file up in PDF format.
Note: for a Fact Sheet to generate, the account must have a valid Asset symbol(s) entered, as this is what the Fact Sheet is based upon. You can determine if an account has a symbol entered for it by clicking its Account Number to View Account Details and then looking in the SYMBOL column in the Account Assets. If it does not, you can add the Asset (Symbol) from that widget (if it is a manually entered account rather than one fed into your database), and then you should be able to generate a fact sheet.
Now, let's take a look at the integration options available for paying AdvisoryWorld customers:
SCANalytics and Reports
To set up this part of the integration, you'll need to go within Redtail CRM to Manage Integrations:
Then, click the Actions menu in the AdvisoryWorld widget and select Settings:
In the resulting dialog, enter your AdvisoryWorld username and the AdvisoryWorld account owner's last name and click Save:
Once you've entered and saved your AdvisoryWorld credentials here, you'll also have access to the other AdvisoryWorld options accessible when clicking the Actions menu for a client's Account:
Just Click HoldingScan Report or HoldingScan Report with Benchmark (Account Report with performance compared to a benchmark) to view those reports or Launch SCANalytics to seamlessly login to AdvisoryWorld’s app.
Acquire and Advisor Proposal Generator
Acquire is a lead generation tool that turns financial advisor website visitors into prospective leads. Investor information collected via Acquire will automatically create a new contact in Redtail’s CRM. With Advisor Proposal Generator, existing Redtail contacts can be used to start the proposal process and will be updated with new activities documenting risk profile questionnaire responses, generated proposal documents and more.
In order to take advantage of the Acquire and Advisor Proposal Generator components of the integration, you will need to contact AdvisoryWorld and let them know you want to do so. They will then handle entitling you to log in to the Proposal Tool and walk you through the one-time SSO process between the Proposal Tool and Redtail. They can also provide specifics about each of these new components of the integration and how they work together with Redtail. Note though that when using the Proposal Tool, when you add a contact from Redtail to Advisory World for that purpose that their contact data will always be current in Advisory World after that first time you added them from your Redtail database. You'll also have the option if you edit any of their data in Advisory World to push that updated contact info into Redtail.
