To begin using the integration, you will first need to establish an account with Constant Contact. Once you've established your Constant Contact account, you will need to enable the Constant Contact integration within your database. Instructions for enabling integrations can be found here.
Then, from the Manage Integrations page where the integration was just enabled, you will need to click Settings under the Actions menu for Constant Contact:
You'll then see the below:
Click "Authorize Access to Constant Contact" and you'll be prompted to login to your Constant Contact account. After login you'll then have to click to Allow Access.
Integration functionality:
Constant Contact is a Email Marketing platform that gives you the ability to send emails en mass with robust HTML built templates. Integrating with Redtail gives you the ability to import contacts to Constant Contact Individually or with the correct format of spreadsheet.
After enabling this integration, authorizing and allowing access, you can then send your contacts to Constant Contact from their Common Tasks menu or from your Integrations menu when within a contact record. Or, you can send contacts in bulk to a new or existing list within Constant Contact from your Advanced Search page. The contact information that gets sent over is below:
First Name
Last Name
Job Title
Primary Address
Primary Email
Home Phone
Work Phone
Cell Phone
Note: for email addresses to be included in the Send-to Constant Contact, they must be marked as "Primary" within your CRM. Also, when bulk importing contacts to Constant Contact, if more than one contact in the group has the same primary email address, Constant Contact will only import one contact with that address. The rest will be left off of the list.
