Setting up the integration:

NaviPlan users can set up the Redtail integration from within their NaviPlan account. To do so:

Enroll in the integration

1. From any page in NaviPlan, access the User Preferences menu (NP1.png ), and then select System Settings

2. Go to the Integration tab.

3. From the Data Source menu, select Redtail CRM:

4. Enter your Redtail username and password.

5. Click Enroll.

Integration functionality:

NaviPlan users can import both new and existing client data through the Redtail integration. This integration serves to eliminate the need for duplicate data entry, to reduce the likelihood of human error in data copying, and to help advisors increase efficiency and organization in the client relationship management process.

Visit the NaviPlan Learning Center and scroll down to the Retail Integration section to view our instructions on importing client data or follow the steps below:

Import client data into a new client

1. Go to the Client Management – Client List – Clients page

2. Click Create New Client.

3. On the Client Information screen, click NP3.png under Actions.

4. Search for your client by their last name.

5. From the search results, select the client you would like to import and confirm that the data is accurate. Click Finish.

Note: If running a joint analysis, you will need to repeat steps 3-5 separately for each client. If the client has dependents, go to the Family Members step and click Add Dependent. Follow the same steps as importing the client and co-client. Repeat until all dependents are in the plan. 6. Once all family members are entered, go to the Plan Selection step. Select an Asset Allocation Assessment, a Level 1 or Level 2 plan. Click Next to continue the rest of the plan creation process.

If the client has dependents, go to the Family Members step and click Add Dependent. Follow the same steps as importing the Client and Co-client. Repeat until all dependents are in the plan.

6. Once all family members are entered, go to the step. Select an Asset Allocation Assessment, a Level 1 or Level 2 Plan. Click Next to continue the rest of the plan creation process.

7. Go to the appropriate page in NaviPlan®.

8. Near the area of the screen related to the financial element for which you're importing data, click Import. Note: Holdings are imported as part of Accounts.

9. Select the items to import.

10. Click Finish to complete the import.

Import client data into an existing client

1. Go to the Client Management – Client List – Clients page.

2. From the blue toolbar, click Link/Relink to open the Link Client dialog box.

3. Click Link/Relink for each client whose information you would like to update.

4. Search for your client by their last name.

5. From the search results, select the client you would like to import and confirm that the data is accurate. Click Finish.

6. Go to the appropriate page in NaviPlan®.
