Scheduled LDAP and MTA Maintenance: November 23rd 2012

On Friday November 23, 2012, Redtail's Email Hosting Services will undergo maintenance to take the necessary first steps as we move towards an upgrade to the Zimbra Collaboration Suite, the foundation of Redtail's email platform. We anticipate that your mailboxes will be inaccessible for several hours between 10:00pm Friday and 6:00am PST Saturday, November 24th. During this service window, you will not be able to access your Redtail-hosted mailbox, receive new messages or send messages. We understand that this may pose an inconvenience to some subscribers, but please rest assured that the receipt of all outside mail will continue uninterrupted.  We scheduled this maintenance window for the Friday evening after Thanksgiving, as this is historically a low volume business email period. Once your mailbox is available, all messages received during the scheduled maintenance will be present within your mailbox.

The upgrade to a new version of Zimbra was previously scheduled for August 11th but was delayed to allow configuration changes we felt were needed to ensure and bolster product reliability. We will be releasing additional details in the near future about the full upgrade. The scheduled maintenance that will be performed on Friday targets upgrades to our LDAP and MTA configurations.
