What is an email Alias?
An email alias is simply a forwarding email address attached to a primary email address. Email aliases are often used to create handy replacements for long or difficult-to-remember email addresses. They can also be used to create generic email addresses such as email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org.
If email@example.com wanted to receive emails sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, an alias of info@ would be added john@. The result of this would be that all emails sent to email@example.com would be delivered to firstname.lastname@example.org's inbox.
