What is an email Alias?
An email alias is simply a forwarding email address attached to a primary email address. Email aliases are often used to create handy replacements for long or difficult-to-remember email addresses. They can also be used to create generic email addresses such as firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
If firstname.lastname@example.org wanted to receive emails sent to email@example.com, an alias of info@ would be added john@. The result of this would be that all emails sent to firstname.lastname@example.org would be delivered to email@example.com's inbox.
