To enter email account settings manually (advanced)

To enter account settings manually, you'll need to know information such as the email account type (POP or IMAP) and the incoming email server address. The complete list of things you need is in the table below. You can usually find this information on your email provider's website.

Step 1: Go to Application List (slide home screen to the left)

Step 2: Select Settings from Application List

Step 3: Select Email & Accounts

Step 4. Select Advanced Setup, then tap Internet email account. Now you will enter the information outlined below:

Account name:Type a descriptive name for the account. This is the account name that will appear on your phone.

Your name:Type your name. This is the name that will appear for the email messages that you send from this account.

Incoming email server: Type the name of the incoming email server. Redtail's incoming server is: imap.redtailtechnology.com

Account type: Select IMAP4.

User name:Type your full email address.

Password:Type your email password.

Outgoing (SMTP) email server: Type the name of the outgoing email server. Redtail's outgoing server is: smtp.redtailtechnology.com

Outgoing server requires authentication:Yes

Use the same user name and password for sending email:Yes

Additional Information:

Make sure to select SSL Required. With SSL selected, your incoming server port will be 993 and your outgoing server port will be 465.

After entering and verifying the information outlined above, you will do the following:

Choose your Download Settings, then select Sign On
