Redtail limitations for Mac users

While we strive to make our solutions accessible and functional across browsers and operating systems, if you are a Mac user there are a few items you should be aware of that are not compatible with Macs.

1.  Retriever for the Desktop — if you want the functionality Retriever for the Desktop provides, at this time you would need to 1) run Windows in a "virtual machine" on your Mac, such as those offered by VMWare Fusion or Parallels Desktop, or 2) set up Apple's Boot Camp on your machine.

2.  Retriever for Imaging — if you want the functionality Retriever for Imaging provides, at this time you would need to run Windows in a "virtual machine" on your Mac, such as those offered by VMWare Fusion or Parallels Desktop, or 2) set up Apple's Boot Camp on your machine.

3.  Scanning directly to Imaging — currently, you would need to use one of the methods mentioned above to accomplish this.  We are, however, currently exploring methods to address this.

4.  Zimbra Connector for Outlook — this is not a Redtail product, but many users utilize the ZCO in conjunction with Retriever for the Desktop and Microsoft Outlook.  It will not work with Outlook for Mac.

Note: PC Magazine and MacWorld have articles discussing your options outlined in #s 1 and 2 above.
