When you access a contact record in Redtail, you'll notice a new heading menu in your navigation bar, labeled Contact Overview (this menu only appears when within a contact record):
Here, we'll look at the Relationships option under this menu:
After clicking Relationships from the menu, you will see your contact's existing Family and Membership relationships:
The Family widget is divided into three columns:
Name: the contact's name
Relationship: the contact's relationship to the Family Head (if they are the Family Head, "Family Head" will be listed in the Relationship area)
Status: their Contact Status
The Memberships widget is divided into four columns:
Type: the type of Membership linkage (Individual, Business, Trust, Union or Association)
Linked Contact: the contact being linked to from the record you're currently within
Contact Is: the Membership role of the record you're within to the record you're linking to
Linked Contact Is: the Membership role of the record you're linking to with the record you're linking from. In our example above, Jane Aldrich is the Linked Contact, i.e she is the Niece of the contact record whose Membership section we're looking at here.
Right-clicking on a row in either the Family or Membership section will give you options to remove or edit the relationship. You also have options to add new relationships in either section using the "Add" button in the top right corner of each section.
