Defining Your Processes

By taking the time to develop a written list of your firm's processes, you can ensure that nothing slips through the cracks. Redtail CRM has tools that can assist an office in staying on point and making sure deadlines are met, by providing you with tools to turn your written processes into tasks with reminders for specified database users.

Redtail's primary tools for helping you turn your processes into actionable items within your CRM are Checklists and Workflows.

Checklists

Checklists offer a method of attaching various predefined tasks (that can be assigned to multiple database users) to a Contact or Seminar.  As Checklist tasks can be worked in any order, all associated tasks will show up as Reminders for the individuals to whom they are assigned as soon as the Checklist is attached to a Contact or Seminar.  You can learn more about Checklists and how to set them up here.

Workflows

Workflows offer a method of attaching various predefined tasks (that can be assigned to multiple database users) to a Contact.  They differ from Checklists in that the results of one completed step determine what the next step should be, i.e. workflow tasks don't show up in a database user's Reminders until they have been triggered by the completion of the workflow task that precedes them.  You can learn more about Workflows and how to set them up here.
