Contact Overview: Common Tasks

Your contact's Overview screen contains a Common Tasks section for the contact. Below is an example of this section:

You can accomplish several different types of actions from this section so we will look at each of these individually.

Add Activity

You can use this link to quickly add an Activity for the contact.  This will be the same process as adding an activity elsewhere from within the database, but it will be tied to the contact record automatically.

Add to Seminar

You can use this link to quickly add the contact to an existing seminar within your database.  After clicking the link, you will see the below:

 

 

Just select the Seminar, assign the contact's seminar Status and click Add to Seminar.  After adding this information, you'll then see the Seminar reflected in the contact's Dashboard.  You can read more about Seminar Management in Redtail here.

Add to Tag Group

You can use this link to add the contact to an existing Tag Group within your database.  After clicking the link, you will see the below (your actual Tag Group names will be different):

 

Any Tag Groups that the contact belongs to will have a check next to them.  To add them to another Tag Group, just check the Tag Group off and click Add To Tag Group.  After adding this information, you'll then see the Tag Group membership reflected in the contact's Dashboard.  You can read more about Tag Groups in Redtail here.

Create Mail Merge Document

You can use this link to merge your contact's information with an existing Mail Merge template within your database.  After clicking the link, you will see the below:

 

 

Simply select the template you would like to merge with your contact's data and click Run Mail Merge.  Your document will then open up in Microsoft Word for you to print.  You can read more about mail merges within Redtail here.

Create Profile Form

Selecting this option will provide you with a pdf document, suitable for printing, that contains much of the contact's key data.

Delete this Contact

Clicking this link will allow you to delete a contact record from your database.

Download vCard

Clicking this link will allow you to download a contact's vCard to Outlook (or Contacts on a Mac).

Edit Viewing Permissions

Clicking this link will allow you to apply permissions to a contact record.  You can learn more about permissions here.

Run a Report

Selecting this option will allow you to run a number of pdf reports specifically for the contact within whose record you are currently working.

Send to Constant Contact

This link will allow you to send a contact's data to Constant Contact.  You can learn more about the Constant Contact integration here.

Send to Laser App

This link will allow you to send a contact's data to Laser App.  You can learn more about the Laser App Desktop integration here.  You can learn more about the Laser App Anywhere integration here.

Send to MailChimp

This link will allow you to send a contact's data to MailChimp.  You can learn more about the MailChimp integration here.

Send to Quik Forms

This link will allow you to send a contact's data to Quik Forms.
