TD Ameritrade Institutional Veo One®

Integration Name:

TD Ameritrade Institutional Veo One®

Integration Type:

Financial Planning Tool

Setting up the integration:

If you use TD Ameritrade's Veo One platform, you can establish the integration with Redtail in the following manner.

From within your VeoOne platform, click the Applications icon in the top right corner and select "Vendor management":

On the resulting page, click the Launch button next to Redtail:

Then, enter your Redtail credentials and click Log on:

Once you've established the integration in this manner, when you come back to the Vendor management area within Veo One you'll see you now have an option to "disconnect", if that's ever necessary, or to update your login credentials:

Disconnecting Redtail, however, would not cause you to lose any linked clients between the two platforms, but would instead just disconnect the API authentication. If you need to break the SSO connection, you would need to contact Redtail, as Redtail maintains that mapping.

Integration functionality:

Once you've set the integration up, you should note that you also have an area on the Vendor management page where you can "Link clients" from your Veo account to records at Redtail:

After clicking that option to "Link clients", you'll be able to link up to 20 client records at one time. Note: in order to link clients, they have to exist in both platforms.

You'll also be able to see your Redtail Calendar in VeoOne:

If you'd prefer to view it within Redtail itself, you can click that option beneath the calendar.

Clicking the "Add new event" button above the Calendar will allow you to add a new Activity to Redtail (though with limited options):

You can then follow the option to view it in Redtail and then click the Activity to access all editable fields. Data will go back and forth in real time.

Note: the Tasks option on the right of the Activities screen works in the same way as the Activities screen.

The Client Center in Veo One pulls in Notes from Contact Records in Redtail, allowing you to view recent notes and to add notes as well, when viewing a Linked Contact in Veo One. Also, from a Linked Contact's screen in Veo One, you can click the Redtail tab to view their actual contact record in Redtail, framed within the same screen.
